note about eBooks:
Salvo Press has published eBooks in nearly every format since
1998. A lot of formats have come and gone, but we continue to
make our titles available in most of the major formats. As you
will see on our individual book pages, we have links now to
the Kindle, the Nook and the Sony Reader. However, our titles
are also available worldwide on most of the major eBook sites
in other formats, including ebooks.com, fictionwise,
mobipocket, WHSmith, etc.

Deal For Salvo Press in Audio Books
Salvo Press signed a deal with Americana Publishing in
Albuquerque, New Mexico, to produce our entire line of
mysteries and thrillers in quality audio books. Americana
won the Audie Award in 2001 as the best new audio book
company in America. Americana Publishing, Inc. is a vertically
integrated multimedia publishing company whose primary
business is publishing and selling audio and print books
in a variety of genres. Sales of their products are conducted
through the Internet, as well as a distribution network
of more than 35,000 retail stores, libraries and truck
stops. They currently have approximately 500 titles. See

have been selected for audio book rights. High Steaks,
Memphis Ribs, and Strong Conviction
will all be added to the Books In Motion line in the near
future. That makes 12 titles picked up for audio book
by BIM.

Adds Palm eBooks, Yahoo sales
Salvo Press recently converted all titles to the Palm
eBook format. With more than 20 million of these PDAs
in the hands of consumers, Salvo hopes to bring its titles
to many customers who have not yet purchased dedicated
eBook readers.. All of the titles have been picked up
by the Yahoo.com eBook store.

Press Wins Special Citation at International eBook Awards
The International eBook Award Foundation
(IeBAF) has announced the names of the winners for the
2001 Frankfurt eBook Awards, the first award designed
to recognize achievements in the emerging eBook industry.
"The
judges awarded a Special Citation to an eBook publisher
whose submissions, although not selected as one of the
finalists or for a monetary award, created a remarkably
strong E-book publishing program and a list of consistently
fine quality books. This special award was presented to
Salvo Press of Bend, Oregon, for the development and publishing
of new authors in the eBook format."
Selected
from a field that included entries from e-publishers,
independents, large and small publishers alike, the winners
were named October 10th during a ceremony at the Old Opera
House in Frankfurt, Germany.
